Located about ten minutes from the hotel, Delaware Seashore State Park has plenty of activities going on throughout the months of September and October, with options to suit all ages and interests.

Introduction to Surf Fishing

An informative program for children and adults alike, this surf fishing class will teach you everyone needed to get started on this unique fishing approach commonly used in coastal Rehoboth Beach. Rods, reels and bait are provided; all you need to participate is a valid fishing license! Children age of ten and up are welcome to participate, but those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Hiking Thompson Island

Thompson Island is an archeological preserve, home to some of the oldest trees in Delaware, as well as many species of birds. Learn about the lives of the Native Americans who inhabited the island years ago and the unique foliage and animals the area is home to. Tours are held every Friday in October from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There is one September tour as well, held on the 26th of the month from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Click here to learn more.

Lantern Tour

Enjoy a guided tour of Indian River Life-Saving Station and the beach while learning the location’s history and how the U.S. Life-Saving Service worked to save shipwreck victims along the Delaware Coast during the 1800s. For more information, click a date below:
