Spend Some Time in Rehoboth Beach this March!

family vacation to Rehoboth BeachOne of the most exciting parts about planning a vacation to The Avenue is deciding what activities and events you and your family will participate in while relaxing in our coastal town. If you are visiting Rehoboth Beach this March, there is plenty to do and see whether you are interested in getting active outside or relaxing and enjoying some one-of-a-kind entertainment.

Here are just a few of our favorite events taking place throughout the month of March:

Carnevale!

If you and your family love Italian food, there is no better place to visit than Rehoboth Touch of Italy restaurant. And the best time to visit Touch of Italy is during Carnevale! on March 8, 2016. The event benefits the Touch of Italy/RehobothFoodie.com Culinary Scholarship Fund, helping kids with a knack for cooking hone their skills.

Enjoy delicious cuisine and wine while bidding on wine baskets and other incredible raffle items, all for a good cause. The event begins at 6 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online or by phone at 302-212-0171.

4th Annual Lucky Leprechaun 5K

Looking to get active during your upcoming Rehoboth Beach vacation? We recommend heading to nearby Milton, Delaware to participate in the Lucky Leprechan 5K on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Everyone is Irish when it comes time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, so put on all the green clothing you can find and lace up your running shoes!

Start the event at Irish Eyes Pub, running or walking your way throughout the town and back to the pub for the award ceremony and post-race refreshments! Registration starts at 10 a.m. and the race itself starts at 11 a.m. For more information, visit races2run.com.

21st Annual Central Sussex Bridal Show

For recently engaged couples enjoying a romantic getaway at The Avenue, the 21st Annual Central Sussex Bridal Show is the perfect place to spend an afternoon gathering information about wedding vendors and getting ideas for your special day. Held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., there are a wide variety of vendors to see and great door prizes to win.

“Anything Goes” at Clear Space Theatre

Regardless of when you visit Rehoboth Beach, Clear Space Theatre is a great place to spend an evening, and this March is no exception. From Friday, March 18 to Sunday, April 3, actors will be performing “Anything Goes”, a fun-filled musical originally produced on Broadway in 1987.

Visiting earlier in the month? “The Laramie Project” will be performed on Saturday March 5 and Sunday March 6. Ticket price includes a pre-show reception and desserts at intermission and proceeds will benefit the Clear Space Scholarship Fund and CAMP Rehoboth Community Center.

10th Shamrock Shuffle 5K and 15K

Another great running opportunity for Rehoboth Beach vacationers who are looking to stay active during their downtime, the 10th Shamrock Shuffle is an enjoyable way to explore the area on foot. Race through Cape Henlopen State Park for a scenic 5K or 15K, then meet back at the Outlet Center for an award ceremony. Children age nine and up are welcome to participate in the 5K and individuals over the age of 18 can participate in the 15K. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group. Learn more about the race and register here.

Sassy, Brassy & Classy

Don’t miss CAMP Rehoboth’s last performance of this exciting concert series. Held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Arts and Science Center Theatre at Del Tech Community College, the show begins at 3 p.m. and tickets cost just $20. Enjoy the music of legends like Elton John, Madonna, Billy Joel, Barbara Streisand and Lady Gage at this afternoon of entertainment. Tickets go on sale February 15 and can be purchased here.
