Interested in a kid-friendly, health conscious weekend of fun? This summer’s Rehoboth VegFest is set to take place from Friday June 12 to Sunday June 14. A kickoff dinner will be held on Friday night, as well as a showing of the movie Cowspiracy. Dinner and a movie costs $30, and combo options are available in conjunction with Sunday’s event.
A free festival will take place on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church. The festival is open until 5 p.m. and will include music, art, guest speakers and cooking demonstrations to promote healthy and humane eating alternatives.
Throughout the festival, yoga classes will be run for adults, and a special kids’ pavilion will be located at the church’s main entrance. Under the pavilion, events will include kids’ yoga, story time, arts and crafts, a bounce house and more!
The festivities will wrap up on Sunday with the Made Ya Look 5K. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and the race itself begins at 8:30 a.m. Interested in signing up for the race? Register online or by mail for $25, or register at the event for $30. A post race party will be held afterwards for $5 per person. Kids eight and under are free.
The Vegan Celebrity Brunch will also take place on Sunday morning, from 10 a.m. to noon. Tickets at $25 each, but can be combined with Friday’s events for a discount.
