Spring is almost here and for families interested in enjoying a sunny vacation in Rehoboth Beach, Easter weekend is the perfect time to visit!
Greater Delaware Kite Festival
One of our favorite spring activities in the area, the Greater Delaware Kite Festival celebrates its 50th year this March! See how high your handmade kite can fly, watch your little ones hunt for Easter eggs and enjoy some delicious food from Rehoboth Beach area vendors.
Held each year on Good Friday, the celebration takes place at Cape Henlopen State Park and involves a wide array of exciting family activities, from kite flying competitions to egg toss.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the first event of the day, the Easter egg hunt, begins at 11 a.m. All activities are free to participate in but park entrance fees do apply.
Lewes Canalfront Park Easter Egg Hunt
If your children can’t get enough of the Easter egg hunting fun, we recommend spending your Saturday morning in nearby Lewes, Delaware to take part in the Canalfront Park Easter Egg Hunt. Watch your little ones race around the park collecting treat-filled eggs and get their picture with the Easter Bunny to remember your exciting Easter vacation experience.
The perfect morning activity for children age ten and under, the event costs $5 per child or $10 for a family of two children or more. Hop into the event, Easter basket in hand, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31.
For more information and to register ahead of time, please call 302-645-2795.
Now that you and your children are ready for all the Easter excitement, all that’s left to do is book your stay at The Avenue. We can’t wait to see you here!
