Some like to plan each day out ahead of time, visiting parks, museums and other local attractions throughout their stay. Others enjoy nothing more than to lounge on the beach or by the pool each day to unwind.
If you and your family are members of the first group, then you are probably searching for ways to stay active and energetic during your upcoming April vacation to Rehoboth Beach.
Luckily enough, there are two 5K going on during the month!
Tie Dye 5K for Public Radio
Held on Saturday, April 1, the Tie Dye 5K for Public Radio is one of the first Rehoboth Beach races of the season.
The event supports Delmarva public radio stations WSCL 89.5 FM and WSDL 90.7 FM, and gives participants the chance to explore Gordon’s Pond while raising money for the cause.
Toss your most colorful tie dye t-shirt in your bag and register here to be a part of the fun.
Big Fish Grill 5K
A family-friendly race recommended for individuals of all ages, the Big Fish Grill 5K takes place on the morning of Sunday, April 30. We recommend this race for young families, as walkers with strollers are allowed to participate and the course is an easy one to navigate.
This year, Big Fish Grill will not only be supporting Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation; they will also be giving away a $1,000 savings bond to one K-12 student participating in the run!
Register your family for the race here, and don’t forget to bring along your children’s student IDs in case they are chosen as the winner.
Now that you know what’s going on here in Rehoboth Beach during the month of April, it’s time to pack your sneakers and book your stay at The Avenue.
We can’t wait to see you here!
