The weather outside is only getting colder, which means that most visitors to Dewey Beach are spending less time out by the shore and more time inside at one of the town’s many famed shops and restaurants. However, when it comes time to switch things up a bit, remember that both wine and brewery tours are extremely popular during this time of year – especially around here! So while there are so many different places to choose from, allow us to recommend a local favorite: the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery.
Known for making “off-centered ales for off-centered people,” it’s nearly impossible to have a bad time on a Dogfish Head Brewery tour. The place is super popular, which means that though they will absolutely try to accommodate everyone and make sure all those who are interested find a place on a tour, you may need to hang out a bit and wait to start your tour at a different time. No big deal though – there are plenty of things you can do while you wait.
All guests who are over the age of 21 and have a valid ID are welcome to try four free samples, regardless of whether you take a tour or not. In addition, you may also spend some time shopping for a bit of merchandise in the brewery’s store, or enjoy some beer-infused foods at Bunyan’s Lunchbox.
If you’re lucky enough to be in the area in two weeks, you can also purchase tickets to attend Milton Mischief Night at the brewery! This adults-only event will teach you more about Dogfish Head’s various beers as you walk around the brewery campus and make beer stops along the way. Learn more about this event and preorder your tickets for $10 here.
Honestly, who doesn’t love a good brewery tour? There’s no doubt that Dogfish Head is one of the greats! Find out why we’re so proud to have it here in our backyard by scheduling your own tour during your next trip to Dewey Beach, DE!
