One of our favorite places for families to visit in the Rehoboth Beach area, Cape Henlopen State Park is home to beaches, hiking and biking trails, basketball courts, a disc golf course, and much more!
It is also a wonderful place to go if you are looking for an opportunity for your family to learn about the environment and the animals inhabiting the land and water around you while vacationing in Rehoboth Beach.
Each Saturday in February you and your children can participate in some unique learning opportunities at the park.
Whether you are interested in a nature hike or a history lesson, the perfect winter event awaits you just 20 minutes from The Avenue.

Seals on the Beach
If your children love to learn about wild animals, Seals on the Beach is the perfect Cape Henlopen State Park event to bring them to.
Explore the park’s beaches and catch a glimpse of the seals that bask on them during the winter months as you learn all about their habitat and the food they eat.
The fun takes place on Saturday, February 24th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
