An incredible event for vegetarians, vegans and all other individuals interested in learning more about healthy, alternative eating, VegFest is one of the most delicious and interesting events held in Rehoboth Beach each year. Hosted by VegRehoboth, a not-for-profit organization committed to sharing information about plant based dieting, VegFest has something for the whole family.
The festivities begin on Friday, June 10, 2016 and there is plenty of fun to be had for everyone involved!
We recommend kicking off VegFest weekend with a flavorful and exciting celebration at The Crooked Hammock Brewery. The fun begins at 5 p.m. on Friday and includes an array of vegan appetizers, veggie burgers and one-of-a-kind brews.
After you enjoy your meatless meal, you can also visit the Rehoboth Beach Cinema Art Theatre for the screening of “PlantPure Nation”, a compelling documentary about the political influence of the meat and dairy industries.
Spend your Saturday listening to speakers, taking part in cooking demonstrations, learning yoga and tasting some of the most delicious vegan and vegetarian foods in the area! Planning to bring the whole family along? There is even a kids’ activities area where children can make crafts, color and try out their own yoga class!
If you are looking for something to do after dinner, we recommend visiting Gallery 50 to check out local photographer Tara Lausch’s incredible exhibit featuring photos of rescued farm animals. The event begins and 7 p.m. and includes complementary wine and vegan appetizers.
With so much to do and see, you are sure to have an amazing time learning more about healthy eating and the vegetarian lifestyle at VegFest Rehoboth. Most of the celebrations take place outside of Epworth United Methodist Church, located less than ten minutes from The Avenue.
