The Inside Scoop

Throughout the year, we’ll be shining a spotlight on some of our amazing staff. We thought you’d like to get to know the people behind our brand a little better. They are the heart of our hotel and why we achieve incredible accolades and high Trip Advisor ratings. We interviewed Jim Powers, General Manager at the Avenue Inn & Spa, to kick off this series. Great news, Jim, on being voted #1 in hotels for Delaware! I’ve raved about The Avenue on Trip Advisor and gotten a lot of hits on my comments. I’m happy for you all 👍.

WOW Congrats Jim, we cant say enough great things about Jim, we have been guests there for many years, I think our first summer with Avenue Inn was the summer of 2001! Thinking that when our grandkids got older(they were 8&10) for the first visit in 2001, that the time would come and they would not want to join us each summer at the Avenue, well, needless to say they still love coming with us, and we have made many great memories there….So a big Thank you, Jim, you are the Avenue Inn!

Jim is the SUCCESS behind the Avenue Inn! There are many beautiful hotels in the Rehoboth Beach area but none are as INVITING as the Avenue ! I believe that is due to Jim; his wonderful staff, and the warm, welcoming, attentive customer service are results of his fine example and training! It is more than a a feeling of friendship – after more than 10 years of visiting the Avenue he has become a dear Friend! How nice to be welcomed by name and with a Smile!! Congratulations, Avenue Inn – you have a Winner in Jim!!
