During your next visit to Southern Delaware, keep in mind that the fun doesn’t stop just because the sun goes down! There’s plenty of beach fun to be had during the evening hours this summer, and one of our favorite activities takes place on Monday nights down by Dagsworthy St in Dewey. Starting in just a little over a month on June 15th, come on out for Monday Night Movies on the Beach!
The series runs from June 15th all the way until August 24th, giving both locals and visitors a chance to get out and have some fun during the week. Starting around 8:30pm each Monday, the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce will project a family-friendly movie on a giant screen down on the beach. All you need is your loved ones and a beach chair!
Monday night movies are completely dependent on the weather however, so if you happen to be in town on one of these nights and the rain has been a bit iffy, you’ll want to double-check. Any word of cancellation will be shared on the Dewey Beach Life Saving Station Bulletin Board no later than 7pm.
So what’s first in the lineup? An American Tail will play on opening night! Your family will enjoy the animated story of a young Russian mouse who gets separated from his family after emigrating to the U.S. and must find them while also trying to survive! We’re sure the kids will love it!
