Lewes will be holding Independence Day festivities all day on Thursday, July 4, 2019. The fireworks will be launched off a barge 1500 feet off of Lewes Beach shortly after dusk. The festivities will begin at 9 a.m. with games on Second Street. Second Street will be closed while the games are in progress and will reopen at the conclusion of the games.
Lewes Beach will be fireworks central, of course! That also means parking will be a challenge and parking space will be extremely limited. There are only two roads in and out to the beach. If you drive, expect to wait in traffic if you leave right after the fireworks. If you want to leave right after the show, consider parking across the bridge and walking from town.
